Ode to Hunter S. Thompson Teaser

“To see a woman do that, to make an entrance and present herself to you intoxicates any man, just ask him; myself, out there, then, believe me, I well-rounded that corner! Hunter Thompson, the King, held rule of his entire Kingdom from on the other side of this long stone wall of an entranceway, in the Kitchen.

I proceeded down the red carpet to my Academy Award-wining performance, not slowing down as my proud lithe body arranged itself from the inside out to look and move as the thoroughbred it is, morphing, enjoying its muscles, chest out, hips loose, a proud posture, extra-long legs striding, belly humming, shoulders back, neck sexy, head straight on and eyes, eyes, eyes, Ah!, the story starts and ends with eyes. Mine, and His. “That’s a capital ‘H’, capital ‘H’ as in, ‘H’unter S. Thompson’”, I was telling a sexy babe friend of mine.

“The thoroughbred’s half-circle on clean wood paddock shavings before the saddle up is its entrance and big bets are made based on ‘a feeling’ derived from just that short saucy strut, if it’s done right. There, then, something magical conveys it all, something is said from the horse to men ready to gamble on it, to financially-committed owners, day-in/dayout trainers and to all, some deep truth so deep that they see this horse and feel connected to it, believe in, bet on, and want it, all based and begun on an entrance, when she presents herself to you.

When time stops and suddenly, anything could happen. When there is an illusion of gain, that you, liking what you saw, could have her or that horse to ride on or look at- more than an illusion, more than a dream; The right Entrance, after Anticipation, reaches out, touches you, and makes you feel you are the King of all this fabulous domain within your own Kingdom and it’s intoxicating to any man!

Now, if that thoroughbred is valuable young and beautiful, accomplished, well-trained and rounding a corner to stand, young female Tiger-writer protégé in front of you, Dr. Grand Master Literary Tiger, as Secretariat knew, The Look that winningest horse gave the Derby would have to convey it all, but if it did, Wow!

A Meeting of minds, energy and the Essence; Anything could happen!
